Cookies Policy
This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on our website, what each category of cookie is for, and how you can control them. It applies to our lobby, your account pages, the cashier and the games you open through the site.

What cookies are and why we use them
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves to your computer, tablet or phone when you visit. It holds a short identifier that lets the site recognise your device on later pages or on a later visit. Cookies cannot run programs on your device and cannot read other files stored on it.
We also use technologies that work in a similar way, including pixels in pages and e-mails, software kits inside apps, and the local storage built into your browser. Where this policy says cookies, it covers those technologies too.
We set cookies for four broad reasons:
- Keeping the site working. Holding your log-in session open as you move between the lobby, your account and the cashier, and spreading traffic across our servers.
- Keeping your account safe. Spotting unusual sign-in patterns, protecting forms against automated abuse, and supporting the identity and age verification checks we are required to carry out as the holder of a gaming licence.
- Understanding how the site is used. Counting visits, measuring page speed, recording errors, and seeing where people stop part-way through a process such as registration or a deposit.
- Remembering your choices. Your language, how you prefer game lists to be shown, whether you have closed a message, and the cookie settings you have already given us.
Cookies are either session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay on your device for a set period. The period that applies to each cookie is shown in the cookie notice on the site.
Some cookies are set by us. Others are set by the suppliers who provide parts of the site on our behalf, such as payment processing, game content, live chat and measurement. Those suppliers may only use the information for the purposes we instruct, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The categories of cookies we use
The cookie notice on the site groups cookies into the four categories below. Strictly necessary cookies are always active, because the site cannot be delivered without them. The other three are set only if you agree to them, and you can change your choice at any time.
Strictly necessary
These cookies deliver the service you have asked for. They keep you logged in, hold the details of a deposit while you complete it in the cashier, apply the security settings on your account, and remember your cookie choices so that we do not ask again on every page. They also make sure the safer gambling tools in your account take effect in your current session, so that a deposit limit, a time-out or a self-exclusion applies straight away.
Because they are essential, these cookies do not depend on consent. Blocking them in your browser will stop parts of the site from working.
Performance and analytics
These cookies tell us how the site is used overall: which pages are opened, how quickly they load, which errors appear, and which steps in registration, verification or payment people leave unfinished. The reports we see describe groups of visitors rather than named individuals, and we use them to fix faults and simplify pages.
Functionality
These cookies remember preferences that are not essential but make the site easier to use, such as your chosen language, the layout of a game list, the sound setting in a game, or the fact that you have already read a notice. They may also keep the context of a live chat conversation, so you do not have to repeat yourself if the page reloads.
Marketing
These cookies help us measure our advertising and decide which messages to show you. They record which promotion brought you to the site, whether an advertisement has already been shown to you, and whether an action such as registration followed. We do not use marketing cookies to target anyone we know to be under 18, anyone who has closed or self-excluded an account with us, or anyone registered with GamStop.
| Category | Main purpose | Set only with your consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Log-in, cashier, security, account limits and tools | No, these are essential |
| Performance and analytics | Measuring use, speed and errors to improve the site | Yes |
| Functionality | Remembering non-essential preferences and chat context | Yes |
| Marketing | Measuring advertising and tailoring our messages | Yes |
How to manage or withdraw your cookie consent
In the cookie notice on our site
- Open the cookie settings from the notice shown on your first visit, or from the cookie settings control in the footer of any page.
- Turn each optional category on or off. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off there, because the site depends on them.
- Save your choice. It applies from that point on, in that browser and on that device.
Withdrawing consent stops new cookies in that category from being set, but it does not delete cookies that are already on your device. To remove those, clear the cookies for our site in your browser settings.
In your browser
Every current browser lets you control cookies yourself, usually in a privacy, security or site data menu. The options normally include:
- Deleting the cookies stored for one site or for all sites.
- Blocking all cookies, or blocking only those set by other organisations.
- Clearing cookies automatically each time you close the browser.
- Browsing in a private or incognito window, which discards cookies when the window is closed.
These settings apply to one browser on one device, so you will need to repeat them if you use our site on a phone and a laptop, or in more than one browser.
You may be signed out
Clearing cookies removes the file that keeps your session open, so you will be asked to log in again and any unsaved details in the cashier will be lost.
What happens if you block or delete cookies
The site may not work fully without cookies. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to log in or stay logged in, the cashier may fail part-way through a deposit or withdrawal, forms may lose what you have typed, and security checks may be repeated each time you load a page.
Turning off the optional categories has narrower effects:
- Without performance and analytics cookies, the site still works, but we see less about faults and slow pages and take longer to put them right.
- Without functionality cookies, your preferences reset on each visit and notices you have already read may appear again.
- Without marketing cookies, you will see the same number of advertisements, but they will be less relevant to you.
Cookies do not control your safer gambling settings
Our site is for adults aged 18 and over. Deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion are held on your account with us, not on your device, so clearing or blocking cookies does not cancel them or let you back in early. A GamStop registration is unaffected in the same way. Free, confidential support is available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline.
Changes to this policy and how to reach us
We update this policy when the cookies we use change or when the law requires it. The current version is always the one published here, with the date it took effect shown at the top of the page. If a change means we need your agreement again, we will ask for it through the cookie notice.
If you have a question about this policy, or you would like to know what a particular cookie on our site does, e-mail us at support@casinolordping.co.uk or use the live chat on the site. For requests about your personal data and your rights over it, write to privacy@casinolordping.co.uk; our Privacy Policy sets out how we handle those requests and how long we take to answer.
